Lychee, also known as litchi, is a popular summer fruit found in practically every corner of India. This pulpy fruit is hard to resist because it is juicy and sweet.

Vitamin C is one of the most plentiful vitamins in lychees. The lychee fruit, according to experts, delivers 9% of the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI).

Litchis have more polyphenols than a variety of other fruits. Epicatechin is abundant in the fruit, which may help to enhance heart health and lower the risk of cancer and diabetes.

Litchi fruit pericarp (LFP) extract contains anti-cancer characteristics and can help fight liver cancer, according to the scientific journal Cancer Letters.

According to scientists, litchis are high in vitamin E, which aids in the healing of sunburns that cause discomfort and inflammation, as well as keeping the skin healthy and shining.

Lychees contain flavanols, which have anti-inflammatory properties.  During the summer, this assistance is used to combat flu and illnesses.

Lychees are popular in Southeast Asia and China, but not so much in the rest of the world. They have a sweet, floral flavour and are high in vitamin C as well as a number of antioxidants.
